The Our Heroes’ Memorial Golf Tournament is an annual event held in honor of all Tampa police officers killed in the line of duty. Proceeds raised are used to fund theTampa Police Benevolent Association Charity Fund, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization. The Tampa PBA Charity Fund was established for the benefit of the City of Tampa police officers killed or wounded in the line of duty and their dependant families; to aid said police officers and their dependent families in medical, financial or catastrophic need; to financially assist the City of Tampa Police Honor Guard with expenses and to establish a scholastic scholarship for City of Tampa police officers and their dependent families.
Our inaugural event was held on April 13, 2009 at the Hunter’s Green Country Club in New Tampa and was a smashing success. The 2010 golf tournament was held at Hunter’s Green Country Club as well. In 2010 we reached an agreement with Hunter’s Green to hold the 2011, 2012 and 2013 tournaments at their location with a goal of raising $100,000 for the Tampa PBA Charity Fund. Details on both past and future tournaments will be maintained in this section.
