Tampa Police Benevolent Association announces date for 16th annual Heroes Memorial Golf Tournament

The Tampa Police Benevolent Association (PBA) announced the date for their 16th annual Heroes Memorial Golf Tournament.

The event, which is held in honor of all fallen Tampa Police officers, is scheduled for Monday, June 23, earlier in the year than it has been held in the past. The tournament serves as a fundraiser for the Tampa PBA, and this year’s goal is to raise $30,000 for the organization, which supports Tampa Police officers and their families in times of need.

The event is scheduled to take place at Hunter’s Green Country Club, located at 18101 Longwater Run Dr., Tampa, FL. The day’s events will begin with an opening ceremony at 8:00 a.m., with a shotgun start for the golf tournament beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Those wishing to participate in the event can register online at Golf.TampaPBA.org.

Registration is $150 per person, or $600 for a team of four. Registration includes breakfast and lunch at the clubhouse, 18 holes of golf and a golf cart, and a goody bag.  As usual, there will be a raffle and an auction after the tournament is completed.

Prominent community leaders, including Tampa Mayor Jane Castor, Tampa Police Chief Lee Bercaw, several Tampa city councilmembers and state representatives were in attendance for last year’s event.

Last year’s event sponsors included Baycare, the Alstott Family Foundation, the National Employee Benefits Administration, Federal Easter, Mission BBQ and many more.
